Interfaith Disability Pre-Summit Survey

In preparation for the Alliance for Full Participation Summit and Interfaith Disability Pre-Summit, the faith based networks that are sponsoring the Interfaith Disability Pre-summit are developing a document that outlines and summarizes the current and potential contributions that faith communities and networks can play in addressing the needs being discussed in the Alliance for Full Participation Summit.

The following are the results of a survey on the contribution or potential contribution of religious groups to “secular” goals for persons with disabilities.

For more information about the Alliance for Full Participation National Summit, “Many Voices, One Vision” and the state teams and state liaisons to the summit, please see the Alliance website at http://www.allianceforfullparticipation.org/main/  For more information on the Interfaith Disability PreSummit on September 20, go to www.aamrreligion.org.

Thank you to those who participated.  Your input will guide the development of efforts to educate and assist state service providers about the contribution of religious groups to Alliance ’s vision.  Survey developers were Bill Gaventa, Nella Uitvlugt, and Jeff McNair.
